Liora Privacy Policy

Liora is an Android Game Boy Advance emulator. The app does not include ROM files or BIOS files. Most app data stays on your device unless you choose to enable an optional network feature.

Overview

This privacy policy explains what information Liora stores, what optional features may contact external services, and what controls you have over your data.

Liora is designed to work as a local-first emulator. The normal app experience does not require sign-in.

Data stored on your device

Liora may store the following data locally on your device:

  • App settings, theme selections, controller mappings, and emulator preferences
  • Imported ROM references and local library metadata such as display name, favorites, and last-played state
  • Save data, save states, resume snapshots, screenshots, and cached artwork
  • Optional patch selections and related metadata

Optional network features

Liora includes optional network features that are off unless you enable them.

  • Google Drive sync: if enabled, the app connects to your Google account and syncs save-related files using your Google Drive app data storage
  • Remote artwork: if enabled, the app downloads cover images, manifest data, or related metadata from the artwork source URL you choose
These features are optional. You do not need them to import ROMs, play games, or manage local saves.

Google account data

If you enable Google Drive sync, Liora may process or locally store:

  • Google account email address
  • Google account display name
  • Access tokens used for the active authorization or sync flow
  • Sync-related timestamps and connection state

This information is used only to identify the connected account and support the Google Drive sync feature.

Data sharing

Data is shared only in the following optional cases:

  • Save-related files may be uploaded to Google Drive only when you enable Google Drive sync
  • Artwork requests are sent only when you enable a remote artwork source
  • Google account information is used only for Google sign-in and Google Drive sync

Liora does not sell personal data. The current app build also does not include advertising SDKs or analytics SDKs.

User controls and retention

You can control your data inside the app by:

  • Disconnecting Google Drive sync
  • Clearing the configured remote artwork source
  • Deleting imported ROM entries and local app data such as saves, save states, and screenshots
  • Uninstalling the app to remove app-private local data stored by Liora

Local data remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app.

If you have already used Google Drive sync, copies of synced save data may remain in your Google Drive app data storage until you remove them there.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated if the app's features or data handling changes. When this page is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top will be changed to reflect the latest published revision.
