BLUE LIGHT FILTER

Vol. 01 · Privacy

Your data stays
on your device.

Liora is built so personal data never has to leave your phone. This page explains exactly what we collect, what we don't, and why.

At a glance

Who we are

Liora — Blue Light Filter (the "app") is published by Prakash Makwana ("we", "us", "our"). The app's package identifier on Google Play is com.Liora.Blue.Light.Filter. Contact: prakash27202@gmail.com.

This privacy policy applies to the Android app and to this documentation site. Last updated May 17, 2026.

What the app stores on your device

The following data is stored locally in app preferences and a Room database. None of it is transmitted to us or to any third party.

You can erase all of this at any time by clearing app data in Android Settings → Apps → Liora → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app.

Permissions and why we ask for them

PermissionWhy

Accessibility serviceKeeps the filter visible on system surfaces such as notifications, the app drawer, and lock screens. The service does not read screen content; it is only used to keep the overlay aligned.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USERequired by Android so the overlay can stay on while you switch apps.
POST_NOTIFICATIONSShows a small ongoing notification while the filter is active so you can turn it off quickly.
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARMTriggers the filter at exactly the scheduled times you set.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETEDRestores your scheduled filter after a reboot, only if you have a schedule enabled.
ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION / ACCESS_FINE_LOCATIONOptional. Used only when you enable the sunset-to-sunrise schedule, and only on your device.
INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATEUsed to load advertising from Google AdMob.

Advertising

The app displays advertising through Google AdMob to support free distribution. AdMob may collect data such as a device advertising identifier, IP address, and limited interaction data in order to serve and measure ads. This data is collected directly by Google, not by us.

You can read Google's policy at Google's Partner sites and Privacy & Terms, and you can reset or limit the advertising identifier in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

If applicable laws (such as GDPR or CCPA) apply to you, AdMob displays a consent prompt the first time the app shows an ad. Your choice is stored on the device.

Crash and analytics data

The app does not include any first-party analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting service. We do not know that you have installed the app, opened it, or used any specific feature.

Children

Liora is not directed at children under 13. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. AdMob is configured with family-safe content settings; if you believe a child has used the app and you would like to ensure their advertising identifier is reset, see Google's instructions linked above.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how the app handles data, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date. Significant changes (for example, adding a new third-party SDK that processes data) will be highlighted in a release note in the app store listing.
